Making math reflexive sounds great, right? I know my kids needed it! Reflex has helped us do just that! The opportunity to try out Reflex was huge for us! We were struggling with easy recall of basic math facts. My kids are all super smart. My kids love math and they were struggling to easily recall math facts. In trying to move forward to harder concepts the kids were frustrated, I was frustrated. It was well…frustrating. I wanted to find something that would help them with quick and easy recall. Reflex graciously allowed us to try an extended free trial. A couple of months of Reflex for my oldest and middle kiddos and now math makes much more sense.
Math needed to be reflexive to move forward
Making math more reflexive seemed essential to moving forward. I had tried everything from games, to songs, to rhymes, to flashcards. Nothing was helping! While scrolling in a Facebook group for homeschoolers I came across a post with similar concerns. Someone in that group said try Relfex! After some research, I had some real hope that this could be what we needed. It worked, Reflex helped us to overcome this slump we were in.
My 3 kiddos all tried it, they are 10, 8, and 6. My middle kiddo loved this program! He exceled with it. He looked forward to using it. Such a good thing! My youngest is too young. She struggled with the speed of it. By taking what she was trying to learn in Reflex off-line and working on it on our own she was able to get more comfortable with fact families too. Using their method in a different format for her definitely helped. My oldest likes to take his time with most things. He never really came to love Reflex, but after a bit he could see that math facts were coming to him more quickly. For me this was a win all around.
Reflex is Game Based and Customizable
Kids learn best through play. Reflex is a web based, game based platform. Read any of my other posts and you’ll see that we LOVE play based learning. The setting is a carnival, with fun anthropomorphic animals. You can choose where to start your child based on their age and grade level. Reflex is intended for 2nd grade and up. It is often used in school settings and we found that it was easy to incorporate into our homeschool as well. Through Reflex, kids can gradually increase their ability to quickly and effectively learn fact families and move forward with confidence. We love the easy to use kids interface and the super helpful parent dashboard. Thank you Reflex for the program you’ve created and for allowing us to try it!
